Hi, I’m Shaterricka. Money has a way of getting complicated right when life does. Maybe you just lost a job or started a new one, went through a breakup, welcomed a baby, or became the person helping an aging parent with their bills. I help people find their footing with money during those in-between seasons, when the old plan no longer fits and the new one hasn’t taken shape yet.
About
I didn’t come to this work through finance. I came through social work. After earning my Master of Social Work at Springfield College, I spent years in counseling, advocacy, support services, and resilience training, helping people get through hard stretches and come out steadier. Over and over, money was part of the story, even when nobody said it out loud.

That’s why I don’t start with your budget. I start with you. What’s changed in your life lately? What did money mean in the home you grew up in? What are you hoping will feel different a year from now? Your spending, saving, and stress make a lot more sense once we understand the full picture, and from there we can set goals that fit the life you have now.

Many of my clients are in the middle of something. Some are adjusting to a smaller paycheck, or to a bigger one that somehow still disappears. Others are combining finances with a partner, separating them after a split, or trying to keep up as prices keep climbing. Together we’ll build habits you can actually keep, and I’ll check in along the way so you’re not doing it alone.

What I bring to every session is steadiness. When everything seems to be changing at once, part of my job is helping you slow down long enough to make one good decision, and then the next one.
