Job Description:
As a Financial Therapist at Freedom Life Therapy and Wellness, you will be part of a team that is passionate about helping clients heal their relationship with money. You will provide individual and group therapy sessions, and your work will revolve around understanding and addressing the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects of financial challenges. Your role will be instrumental in assisting clients in making healthier financial decisions, improving their financial well-being, and ultimately achieving greater peace of mind. This is a hybrid position with expectations of in person and virtual sessions.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions focused on financial issues or overall mental health and well-being.
- Complete progress notes and assessments within a timely manner.
- Submit at least 15 billable hours each week.
- Assess and evaluate clients' financial and mental challenges, fears, and aspirations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with clients to set achievable financial and mental health goals and provide guidance to attain them.
- Educate clients on financial literacy and money management skills.
- Keep up-to-date records of client progress and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Applicants must be professional, responsible, reliable as well as able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Compensation:
$37.50 - $48.50 per session (based on experience)
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- State licensure as a therapist or counselor (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent).
- State provisional license (LPCA, LMSW) will be considered with 1 year clinical experience.
Desired qualifications:
- Strong clinical skills and is client-focused
- Specialized training or certification in financial therapy is a plus but not a requirement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic, non-judgmental, and compassionate attitude towards clients.
- A genuine interest in helping individuals improve their relationship with money.
